![]() ![]() I know the iPad pro is a powerful tool, very likely more powerful than my 2015 i7 mbp, however before I fork out the £30 it would be good to have some first hand feedback. You can create cinematic visual effects and animation for free inside DaVinci Resolve. ![]() It supports keyframing, which can animate videos, text, images, etc., and has a full-blown compositing tool called Fusion which supports motion graphics, 2d/3d compositing, visual effects, and animation. I have heard good things about Lumafusion on an iPad pro, however I am wondering if there is anyone among you with actual real life experience of using it successfully with 6 video stream concurrently. DaVinci Resolve can definitely do animation. This is to the point of being almost unusable with 6 video streams, but actually it is quite jerky even with a couple of streams (which iMovie handles beautifully). I have downloaded Davinci Resole (free) and while it is an incredibly comprehensive piece of software, I just don't think my mbp has enough power to operate it smoothly. Both DaVinci Resolve Free vs Studio include basic features, such as cropping, visual effects, motion graphics, color grading and audio post-processing options. So far I have been working with iMovie on a Late 2015 i7 mbp (16gb RAM), however iMovie only allows for max 2 video streams to play concurrently, so the process involves adding one stream at a time and rendering the results every time. Integrations Supporting Apps If you want to expand your powers by adding animation or design to your toolkit Adobe is the platform to choose. ![]() I have been doing some editing of video collages with up-to 6 videos all playing concurrently and I am still searching for the best software tool to do the task smoothly and quickly with the hardware I have available. Overall, DaVinci Resolve will demand slightly more processing, RAM, and graphics card power to deliver optimal performance, compared to the needs of Premiere Pro. In DaVinci Resolve 18, GPU acceleration allows paint brush strokes to be generated and displayed in real time, for a more intuitive approach when performing cover up work or graphic design.Instant visual feedback allows you to assess your work and make corrections in any stroke style or shape.
